U2 performance analysis

As our first research task and class discussion, we had to analyse the U2 performance at Glastonbury looking at various different camera angles that keep the audience watching on TV interested.
One angle i particularly liked was filmed from the top of the guitar arm while it was being played showing the guitarist, Bono at the front of the stage singing and the crowd. I feel this is an affective shot as viewers may find it boring when watching at home if all they are seeing is a long shot of the front of the stage showing the band front ways on. Belows is a screen shot of this shot.

Another affective way of using the camera's was at the beginning of the song, when they gradually introduced all the different people involved showing the lead guitarist, then the drummer, followed by Bono, then the bass guitarist ending with a shot of the crowd, making Glastonbury's audience at home feel the atmosphere more.
Below is the performance as a whole.

A2 Media Project

For our A2 media project, we are producing a music video for a song of our choice as well as a digipack including a CD cover and advertisement poster for the track.
